Blogging from my phone?
So, I'm doing a test run. Blogging from my phone has huge potential! Justin and I had a super fun week. Wednesday we went to the Coldplay concert (so awesome), stayed the night at the Westin Hotel, and had a wonderful morning shopping downtown, eating sandwiches at Potbellys, then coming home and I threw a huge baby shower for Jen Carter, Laura Young. and Rochelle Fluckiger. Yesterday we went to the temple and to Lil Johns for dinner. Yum! Super busy week but I feel like my buckets are refilled and my blessings are being counted. I gave much to be grateful for.

IT'S A BOY! 7lbs,11ounces 12/6/10
He's here! Axel Justin made his way into the world almost in the Best Buy parking lot! (almost). I had strong contractions all day but not very far apart. I was in the hospital the week before, checked in with an IV and everything and my contractions stopped altogether. I was sent home. SO this time I wanted to be sure. I had gone to the chiropractor earlier that morning and she re-adjusted AJ's position. She told me I would most likely go into labor in a few hours or by that evening. She was right! I was cooking up sausage and potatoes and things were getting pretty strong, but like twenty minutes apart. We took the kids to Chris and Kathleen's and then stopped at Old Navy and Best Buy. I wanted to walk around b/c I was afraid they would send me home. In the middle of Best Buy, I wasn't feeling so good. Justin bought a new camera, then we walked over to Old Navy and I bought some PJ's. Then I really wasn't feeling good. We checked into the hospital at 8:45pm. The nurse checked me and said "oh, your at an 8, your ready to go!" Before I knew it I was surrounded by nurses and Justin was busy trying to get the camera set up. I was asking for my epideral one second, the next second the baby was coming on out! Justin was so proud of me. I was proud of me. I couldn't believe I did it without any anesthetic. When he came out, I wasn't surprised at all it was a boy, and he was very blonde, but looked just like his daddy in that moment. We hadn't decided on a name, but right then at 9:09pm when I saw him for the first time, I knew his name was Axel Justin. And he was and is so sweet and just what our family needed.
Fairies! Maddie turns 6! 11/16/10
Halloween! October 2010
The kids got lots of candy in our little neighborhood but the best treat of all was that Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us this year for Halloween! Kids had a great time and it seemed Halloween never ended with school parties, pre-school parties, fall festivals, trunk-or-treat, and finally trick or treating. I think our favorite part was carving pumpkins with Grandma and Grandpa's help.

Babymoon Victoria September, 2010
Since Justin and I didn't really do anything together for our anniversary back in May, and since little baby??? was a big surprise, we decided to take a "babymoon"- a honeymoon before a baby comes. It was the most fun I had on a trip since our honeymoon. We hadn't taken a trip together since our trip to San Diego, which was a total bust (just ask us about it). But this trip made up for that. We took the big boat to Victoria from Port Angeles on a Thursday, and on the way over saw a huge gray whale breach out if the water in the middle of the Straight of Juan de Fuca. What! that started the trip off on the perfect note. We stayed in the most amazing hotel, with an amazing view (that is the hotel to our right on the ferry). Everything was in walking distance from where we stayed. Our best meal was Italian food we ate the first night (thanks to a tip from some fellow ferry riders). And then we went whale watching, took a bus to Butchart Gardens (this place was incredible), and rented a moped to ride around the city in- that was FUUUN! *sigh* the trip was so great I can't wait to go again...
First Day of Kindergarten! 2010
Maddie had her first day of school. Bittersweet. She looked so cute and was so excited to go to school, and be in the same class as her good friend Kiersti Tailleur. We met her teacher earlier, Mrs Pace, and she is very energetic! Maddie said to me one day shortly after school started, "Mom, Mrs. Pace has a lot of energy. She must sleep until the afternoon". Hee hee. Love life through the eyes of a child.
